Hibiscus (S/S)

from $3.00

Approximately 10 seeds (regular) or 100 seeds (bulk)

Hibiscus, also known as Jamaica or Sorrel, is a popular plant used to make teas. However the entire plant is edible (including the seeds, which can be used to make a warm coffee-like drink). The leaves have a bright flavor and can be eaten raw or cooked. The flowers (which are NOT the part used for tea) have a mild flavor. The calyx is what is used for tea. While typically purchased dry, the calyces can be eaten raw. They have a bright tart flavor. For additional uses the calyces can be used as a fruit, and cooked to make jellies/jams, pies, etc. This wonderful has a myriad of uses and is also a wonderful medicinal plant. And as a bonus: Ladybugs absolutely LOVE it.

All our seeds are grown free of chemical pesiticides right here in Tucson, AZ. Our family grows, harvests, and processes all of our seeds with our own hands.

All seeds marked with season they were grown (in Tucson), how to cultivate your own seeds, and plant size (so that you can plan how to plant them)
