Luffa (S/S)

$3.00

Approximately 20 seeds

Luffah/ Loofah is in the cucumber family and is edible when harvested while young and green. If allowed to mature on vine, luffah can be used for a natural sponge that is great for dry brushing and exfoliation, can be used dry and wet. Luffah is a plant that needs to climb upwards, because when left to ripen on the ground they tend to rot. They grow to about 2 feet long. After harvest, and once the skin dries, you can gently remove the skin to expose the sponge. They can be cut into smaller pieces and used as is, or in soaps, or however you see fit.

All seeds marked with season they were grown (in Tucson), how to cultivate your own seeds, and plant size (so that you can plan how to plant them)

*All our seeds are grown free of chemical pesiticides right here in Tucson, AZ. Our family grows, harvests, and processes all of our seeds with our own hands.
