THIS IS FOR THE PRINT VERSION

This is an informational packet filled with a variety of plants that those of the African diaspora enjoy. Specifically Black Americans and African immigrants/ refugees. This is the informational packet we used during our first “Plants of the African Diaspora workshop” The seeds were grown here in Tucson. Each page shares a bit of scientific info, its uses, images, etc. It’s not exhaustive information, but more of a starting point for getting to know these plants. As a companion to this packet you’ll receive a variety of seeds to grow yourself.

Seeds included:

  • Cotton (variety chosen at random)

  • Egusi Melon

  • Efo Shoko

  • Bitterball

  • Indigo (Indigofera Suffruticosa)

  • Watermelon (variety chosen at random
